Nina’s Story...

From a very young age I had watched my mother and grandmother making curtains, dresses, and soft furnishings. I started my career in this industry as an upholsterer's machinist and assistant for a family friend doing predominantly contract work. This led me to also make the curtains and soft furnishings. Fortunately, my mother took the time to teach me the fundamentals in sewing. From then I developed & refined my skills to handmade bespoke soft furnishings working for shops, interiors designers and my own returning clients.

Having grown up on a farm I have a deep passion for animals especially horses and dogs. Competing from a young age in all aspects of equestrianism with carriage driving being my favourite of all! I adore spending time in the garden growing my own vegetables and flowers, admiring it all at the end of the day with a nice sweet cup of tea or a cheeky glass of wine!

Charlotte’s Story...

With both my mother and grandmother being a dab hand with a needle and thread, this started my passion for textiles and inspired me to fulfil my dream of being an interior designer. On completion of my GCSE’s, I moved on to Art, Textiles & ICT at A level and concluded my education with a diploma in Art & Design.

Previously working for Francie Readman Interiors has given me a depth of experience in a multitude of style, design and clientele.

Since before I developed the ability to walk my hobby has been horses, specialising in carriage driving. I achieved a champion title at National Level and then went on to represent Great Britain internationally competing in the Junior World Trophy both in Austria 2008 and Hungary 2010. I had so much fun and created so many wonderful memories which I will cherish forever. Other than horses and springadors I also enjoy swimming, mountaineering and all things outdoors!
